Projects Presentation

Presentation

In 1996, Swiss-American Omid Bürgin left Los Angeles, to initiate a multi-project towards the creation of projects of audio and acoustics, musical productions and the professional education of these areas in Brazil. Ten years ago was born, in Sao Paulo, the OMiD international audio academy. Located in Vila Madalena, Sao Paulo's artistic West Side, OMiD offers a generous and carefully designed space to offer comfort and functionality.

Philosophy and methodology at OMiD follows the rules of the Seven Links, defined by Bürgin in his lessons and research. They are musician/source, instrument, acoustics, general position, microphone technique, signal flow and gain structure. The good performance in these items and their inner balance determines the overall outcome of a great recording.

The OMiD team is always connected to the latest national and international trends in acoustics, audio and music. The permanent objective is to join, in an intelligent way, research and knowledge with the national market’s specifications and demand.

The search for balance between acoustics, knowledge and equipment are constant in all courses, projects and services offered at OMiD. Within the lectures, musical productions and acoustic design projects, everything is covered, from isolation, reverberation and initial delay gap to microphone technique and careful research of materials.

"Author of various acoustical projects, such as large and medium scale recording studios, auditoriums and churches, Omid has conquered great credibility in the acoustic sector. Always up-to-date with the last research and trends in acoustics and design, he incorporates into the projects his experience gained through his international work, which in turn he adapts creatively into the Brazilian context."
